Featuring a heritage motif from the Seto parish of Estonia. These historic designs have been preserved mostly through garments but were also used in carpets, dishes, furniture etc. While consisting of only a few thousand people today, the Seto culture is considered unique. It is unclear how long the name Seto has been in use but the area has been inhabited for over 8000 years.
Carefully crafted from solid oak and high grade birch plywood, meticulously sanded and finished with natural oil to emphasize the wood's beauty. We also offer an untreated option for those who love uncovered wood or wish to paint it to match their style. Each lantern has been inspected and assembled by hand. Made in Estonia from locally sourced materials. Both Oak and Birch are native to Estonia and are considered prized hardwoods, resulting in a sturdy and long lasting product.
